You can put these words in the bank and draw interest on them when I say, "You may find Jamie doing some of his dad's songs, but Jamie is Jamie and John was John. Don't expect to see Jamie wearing one of John's hats or vests and tappin' out a tune on a piece of plywood anytime soon." However, I wouldn't expect anything less from Jamie than what John gave us in the quality of showmanship, entertainment, and congeniality during the thirty four years he was in front of us performing. Thirty four years doesn't even include John's earlier fifteen years before moving to Nashville.
