The John Hartford Memorial Festival has no plans for any events in the immediate future. We have left this site intact so you can relive those Goodle Days. The following text on this page is from 2022, the last JHMF. Please browse the photos, videos, articles and interviews and visit for all things John Hartford and tell the family Howdy!

The Long Hot Summer (festival) Days are finally here! Its’ been 1,095 days since we all got together back in June of 2019 to celebrate the namesake of your festival, John Hartford. We are in full jubilation mode and thrilled that very soon y’all will descend upon the new and much larger venue at the Lawrence County Recreational Park in Springville, IN. We’ve got over 30 bands and 45 sets of music to facilitate the “Vamps In The Middle” of your musical tastes. We believe this roster of talent is as eclectic and varied as John Hartford. Click Here to see the full lineup and Click Here to see the hourly stage schedule. If you’re itching for even more music don’t forget about all the wonderful campground jamming that takes place 24/7 throughout the park. Bring an instrument and join the jam, will you?

Our new location is much larger, and we’ve got plenty of primitive RV and tent camping spots still open. You are this event. We always ask you to bring someone you love, and you have. Please keep this up. Our laid-back groove and loving spirit have maintained because this is what we all strive for. We have an attendance cap because we do not want chaos. We are a family friendly, kid friendly, dog friendly, jam friendly, just plain friendly festival.

New for 2022 is a special Friday & Saturday combo ticket. Unlike single day tickets, this special combo ticket includes complimentary primitive camping. We listened to your feedback and many fans have requested an option that allows them to attend for two days and camp. If that’s you, pick up the new Friday & Saturday Combo Ticket, with primitive camping.

In addition to festival tickets, RV passes are also available for purchase. The new location features a mix of RV sites with electricity and water, just electricity, and primitive RV camping. Please make sure you read up on all our camping options prior to purchasing camping. Free primitive tent camping is included will all full festival passes. Just when you think it can’t get no better than it does.

Festivals are always enjoyed best with a friend… or two. Gifting a ticket to the John Hartford Memorial Festival is a perfect way to express your love and friendship. We will continue to limit ticket quantities to less than 50% of capacity as we get used to our new and much larger venue. A total of 3,000 full festival tickets will be available. We want to make sure you continue to have ample amounts of wiggle room at the new digs.

We have new policies in 2022 regarding vehicles in the campground and access/using a golf cart. Familiarize yourself with these new policies.

The new site features a large stage and audience area, a multi-unit bathroom/shower facility, several shelters, an RV park with water and electricity, and plenty of space for camping in both wooded and open fields. This park can facilitate over 200+ RVs. Although this site is home to miles and miles of motorcycle and ATV trails, they will be closed during the festival. Golf carts can be reserved in advance from Cunningham Golf Carts. Learn about our new golf cart policy and reserve your own by Clicking Here. You may also bring you own cart by purchasing a pass on our ticketing page. We suspect this new location will soon be your favorite destination for experiencing music festivals in Southern Indiana.
