Grassfed is further proof that the John Hartford Memorial Festival considers and at times, books folks who enter our contests. Grassfed did not win our 2017 Band Contest, but as anyone who attended our inaugural event can tell you, Grassfed is a smokin' contender and entertaining group for any festival or venue!
Grassfed is a quick pickin’ string band. Pivoting on the foundation of bluegrass, Grassfed entwines tradition with an eclectic array of influences. Forged by songwriters and driven by instrumental conversation, the band brings a punching sound all its own. Grassfed is among top bluegrass up and comers-- releasing their debut album January 2017, and touring nationally. With a non stop mind set, and ever growing fanbase-- Grassfed shows no signs of slowing down. Grassfed's debut 18-track album is available online.
